Termidesk Enterprise: everything you need for VDI infrastructure – in a single license

«Astra Group» presents a unified Termidesk Enterprise license. It enables the deployment of VDI infrastructure of any complexity based on already integrated virtualization products from the vendor's ecosystem. This license is more cost-effective than purchasing individual solutions and eliminates the need to independently select and integrate a set of disparate software. Termidesk Enterprise is delivered "turnkey": all components are 100% compatible, functionality is predictable, and there is a single point of responsibility.

Termidesk Enterprise includes three software products. The first is the cross-platform solution Termidesk VDI for creating virtual workspaces with secure access to desktops, corporate data, and applications. The second is the ADC-class solution Termidesk Connect, which functions as a secure gateway for infrastructure access. An extended set of load balancing features within one or multiple data centers is available under a separate license. The third is the scalable management platform for hardware and container virtualization VMmanager. It acts as a provider of computing resources and helps make the entire IT landscape more resilient. Each release of the software suite undergoes mandatory testing with current versions of virtualization products, and development roadmaps are synchronized in advance. This eliminates the risks of incompatibility and guarantees infrastructure stability for customers.

There are many use cases for Termidesk Enterprise. These include not only the now-familiar VDI – delivering desktops based on virtual machines with office and corporate software – but also 3D-VDI, a virtual infrastructure for working with resource-intensive graphics, including design and modeling in CAD. Another option is a terminal server: a shared environment with a desktop and software is created, where multiple users work under a single OS. This enables more efficient use of both licenses and computing resources. In addition, Termidesk Enterprise allows for seamless publication and delivery of individual applications hosted on a terminal server directly to user devices. Finally, another popular scenario is organizing secure remote access to physical computers without third-party TeamViewer-like products.

The offering is aimed at a broad audience: from the public sector and large corporations implementing import substitution programs to small and medium-sized businesses that need to quickly launch VDI in as "off-the-shelf" a manner as possible.

Recently, an educational program «TDHA: Deploying and Advanced Management of Highly Available Termidesk Infrastructure» was launched, where participants can study the principles of building fault-tolerant configurations, deploying management clusters, publishing virtual desktops, and system scaling scenarios.

«For many companies, including our clients, it is now critically important to quickly and competently select the components for virtual desktop infrastructure, and the Termidesk Enterprise license eliminates complex and time-consuming choices. We offer a ready-made integrated solution that enables building VDI with a single point of responsibility and support – from the vendor’s expert team», comments Denis Mukhin, Director of Virtualization and Cloud Services at Astra Group.
