Termidesk Connect Is a New Russian Load Balancer for Creating Fault-Tolerant IT Services and Applications

Uveon – Cloud Technologies (part of The Astra Group") has introduced the Termidesk Connect application delivery controller — a solution for load balancing, increasing fault tolerance and scaling of IT services. The product completely replaces its foreign counterparts, such as Citrix and F5, and has modern tools for managing highly loaded infrastructures, even with a rapidly growing number of users.

The Termidesk Connect solution combines key technologies necessary for the operation of business applications of any organization: GSLB for georeferencing services, load balancing at L4 and L7 levels, Content Switching for creating flexible request forwarding logic, High Availability with configuration synchronization. This allows you to create geo-distributed architectures that are optimal for companies with multiple data centers or a branch network. In addition, Termidesk Connect will allow you to quickly process large transaction flows: SSL Offload balances the load at the application level, and the task of encrypting and decrypting SSL is transferred from backend servers to the balancer. This not only speeds up the process, but also increases the level of data security.

In the upcoming releases, the developer plans to add new functionality and consider the release of Termidesk Connect in the hardware platform format. The solution is already in demand in various industries due to its versatility and lack of analogues in the Russian market.

The product is suitable for any industry and provides high productivity, security and ease of IT resource management in a dynamically changing business environment. Close integration with Termidesk VDI expands the possibilities in terms of workplace virtualization: users receive accelerated delivery of desktops and applications, as well as automatic monitoring of component availability. This is especially true for organizations with a growing number of remote employees who require uninterrupted access to corporate resources.

"When Citrix, F5, Radware, A10, Kemp and other global manufacturers of application delivery controllers left our market, it has become much more difficult to design infrastructures using familiar technologies. You can try Open Source-solutions HAProxy or Nginx, but there are significant limitations here too. It takes a lot of time and resources to set up and adapt such software, and there is no guaranteed technical support, which can lead to delays in solving problems and downtime of services. Termidesk Connect is designed to help Russian companies overcome these barriers. When creating it, we focused on the actual needs of users, took into account best practices and we are confident that its application will allow customers to significantly simplify the processes of creating and maintaining IT systems and focus on their key tasks and development," comments Denis Mukhin, Director of the Virtualization and of the Astra Group cloud services.
