Termidesk 2.0 – what's new?
UVEON — Cloud Technologies Company announces the release of the Thermidesk Virtual Workplace Connection Manager (VPM) version 2.0, which can work with Astra Linux Special Edition release Smolensk, Astra Linux Common Edition OS release Eagle, as well as with other Linux-like OS and Windows. Workplace funds are delivered using SPICE, RDP, and VNC protocols, while browser work is done using HTML5. Thermidesk makes it possible to create, administer, clone, start and shut down VRMS. The administrator can monitor the status of the machines and the process of delivering BPM, and connect to them if necessary.
Thermidesk users can proactively create secure BPM infrastructures, including those based on prepared reference images, as well as flexibly scale, modify, store, backup, and provide secure remote access to them. The product allows you to work with both individual VRMS while maintaining their state, and with collective ones, when users receive standard workstations where the changes made are not saved at the end of the session.
Thermidesk software is popular in enterprises, public and private organizations in various sectors of the economy, including cloud services, education, banking, government systems, and so on. Thermidesk significantly reduces the cost of IT systems.
The new product supports working with various directory services, including OpenLDAP, Microsoft Active Directory, FreeIPA, and Astra Linux Directory with automatic entry of virtual user workstations into the domain infrastructure.

Thermidesk 2.0 is optimally suited for the implementation of import substitution plans. This is a multiplatform solution that is compatible with both the Russian Astra Linux virtualization system and foreign analogues such as VMware, which allows customers to ensure a step-by-step, workflow-free migration to an import-independent technology stack. It is also important that the cost of a license for a domestic software product is significantly more profitable than for foreign analogues.
